SPARKLE by Karen Chan – Modern Cheongsam @CENTRESTAGE 2020

청삼(Cheongsam) 치파오 컬렉션 '스파클(SPAKLE)'을 론칭해 무형 문화유산을 보존 계승하는 카렌챤(Karen Chan) 디자이너는 "스파클(SPAKLE)은 반짝이는 불꽃을 나타내기도 하지만 'Sparkle, Partnership, Authenticty, Revolutionary, Kaleidoscope, Limited and Exclusive' 의 머리 글자 이기도 합니다."라고 그녀의 디자인 세계를 설명한다.

이번 2020 센터스테이지를 통해 소개된 'SPARKLE by Karen Chan – Modern Cheongsam' 컬렉션은 무형 문화 상속자와의 공동 작업으로 진행됐다.

스파클의 특허받은 실크 원단을 사용하여 청삼의 무형 문화 유산 보존에 중점을 두면서도, 아방가르드하고 유쾌한 동양의 만남을 했다. 전통적인 드레스를 '동서양의 만남' 처럼 엮어 모던하고 웨어러블 한 패션으로 변화를 주었다.

이 컬렉션의 시그니처 프린트는 오스트리아의 고급 스와로브스키 크리스털로 장식된 특허받은 만화경 눈송이 패턴이다. 또한 'SPARKLE by Karen Chan – Modern Cheongsam' 컬렉션의 하이라이트는 무형 문화 계승자 포밍화(Po Ming Hua)가 만든 절묘한 봉황 꽃 단추 장식의 화려한 중국 전통 웨딩 드레스(Modern Qun Gua)입니다.
